Thanks again to Lisa Cullity for the review!
Well, I guess I’m in the minority, but I love this Shoe for OCR.
I have run four sprints in them, and now the Vermont Beast. As a matter of fact after what others have said about them, I half expected to have a problem with them on course, and was a little afraid to wear them. I worried for nothing. They grabbed every surface I asked them too, I slipped very rarely all day long – even at the end when I was tired.
Best part – rinsed them off – no holes – no rips – no fault with the shoe at all. They held up on the worst terrain I have every run across. I never was a Reebok product shopper….but I am now. Ugg….. I don’t even like Kool Aid……
Rating: 5 star (amazing)
It appears that it's us knuckle draggers with wide, paddle feet that experience the tears with the All Terrains. My first pair had wear holes after 2 laps at the Amesbury Sprint and the 2nd pair (free replacements) blew out in 4 spots during the VT Beast. If you have narrower feet, you will love them! Grip and drainage are great and they grab onto a climbing rope better than any show you'll ever wear.
I was afraid to wear mine for the beast because of all the reviews. I LOVED them. They were awesome!
Great review. I feel the same about my Supers. I've had them since March and have put close to 100 miles on them. I live at the base of Jay Peak and do most of my training there. I was very impressed with them during the Beast. The grip and drainage were perfect. Mine also show almost no sign of wear other then being somewhat faded. On a side note- last year I trained and raced in Innov-8 trail roc 245. They had 2 huge holes in the side of them after the Beast and less grip in the mud.
